This venture was born at the beginning of quarantine, 2020. Stuck at home, recently out of a job and surrounded by people whose joy and freedom seemed to have been sucked out of their lives, I knew I wanted to do something to help break folks out of frustration, loneliness and heartache.

Happy Mail seemed like the answer. It combines a meditative letter that will whisk you away from real life for a few joyous minutes, along with a small collection of simple, well-curated art items: a print to hang or pin to a board, a decal to decorate a loved item or gift to a friend, a “scrappy packet” of crafting and snail mailing supplies lent to a later creative effort.

In short, each letter is a grab bag of quirky, epistolary goodness. Happy Mail combines several of my shop products into an affordable package that costs way less than buying them all separately. Plus, shipping is free – so you can enjoy Happy Mail even if you reside in a country with prohibitive delivery costs. After living in Belize, I know how important this is to lovers of bookish beauty!

Make sure to check back each month for new letters, new stickers and new scrapbooking supplies.

10 Percent of Proceeds Donated to Color of Change

We are lucky to live in changing times, where we have incredible access to a huge array of action-based groups toward which we can pledge our allegiance and resources. In thinking about whom to support, I wanted an organization that has an impressive curriculum vitae and that immediately pours its donations back into the cause rather than into ceaseless and environmentally damaging marketing.

Color of Change is just such an organization, which is why 10% of ALL pre-tax Happy Mail proceeds (and profits from my Etsy shop) go to them on a monthly basis. As they explain on their website, “Color Of Change helps you do something real about injustice. We design campaigns powerful enough to end practices that unfairly hold Black people back, and champion solutions that move us all forward. Until justice is real.”

You can read more about them here.

What People Are Saying

IN LOVE! If you are on the fence about ordering this, DO IT!!! This was the perfect, in budget way for me to treat myself with something different and unique. One of my favorite parts is the gorgeous envelope the mail is sent in! It is a work of art itself, and something I will be keeping for sure!
